I booked a room with an extremely comfy bed, a comfy chair, coffee and beautiful windows. The setting was favourable, close to the stunning library as well as Princes Street, the Castle and the West End.

We spent 2 nights in king room. Overall it was airy, with a private bathroom. The location was handy, not too far from Co-op Food. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and we could use wake up calls and ironing free of charge.

The hotel was within easy reaching distance of Edinburgh. The building was old and had been tastefully upgraded without losing any of the features of the older building. Very nicely done.
We didnt really speak to many staff and it was quite empty. There wasnt a warm welcoming atmosphere as there were no human beings to be found. So although it was really a lovely building and interior it had no heart or atmosphere and we probably wouldnt go back again.

We were going to a concert and the pleasure was greatly enhanced because we could have a pre-theatre meal, attend the concert then walk back to our hotel in a relaxed manner. For us we were happy to have a relaxing evening hot drink before retiring to our room. The room was well turned out and had an interesting view over Dean Village. The beds afforded a good nights sleep so all in all it made for a very pleasant stay in the capital. The following day we walked along Princes Street and shopped for a short time. This was more pleasant than usual as we started early after a good breakfast and were very unstressed. We will repeat the experience soon.
We loved it.

My partner and I booked in to B+B Edinburgh for an overnight stay as a birthday treat. The hotel is ideally situated at the west end of Edinburgh, a very short walk from the railway station at Haymarket. The building is stunning inside and out. There are beautiful, decorative features in the foyer and breakfast room and the library is also worth a look. Our room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The temperature in the room was also comfortable and I was able to open a window for overnight fresh air as well. Breakfast consisted of a self serve for cereal/cheese/bread/yoghurt/juice etc and a hot dish selected from a menu served by the waitress. The food was nicely presented and freshly cooked and the choice at the buffet was extensive and again well presented and fresh. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful and sevice was prompt.
It was not an issue for me but if you like a huge bathroom this may not be the place for you.

Location; welcome; impressive entrance hall and marble staircase; standards of room comfort and cleanliness; very comfortable bed; outstanding view from 4th floor bedroom; library and other guest facilities; good breakfast - pretty much everything.
Shower and toilet were a bit restricted in space - very minor niggle only.

There were 4 of us, 2 couples, and we all loved B+B Edinburgh. Fabulous building, gorgeous hotel with lovely rooms, great breakfast and the staff were friendly & helpful. A wonderful treat to have the coffee machine and shortbread for afternoon tea. We would absolutely recommend B+B to other travellers and would stay there again ourselves!

Couples seeking charm and character
They had vegan options with soya milk and fresh fruit, made my morning so much better!
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the character and service, it was still quite acceptable.

Absolutely beautiful building with a rich history. Upgraded with modern amenities without destroying key components of the original structure. Super friendly staff and a great lounge and library.
The lift was super small, two people and two bags only. However, it worked just fine

The hotel is centrally located at the west end of the city, very convenient for most attractions. The style of the building, both the exterior and interior, makes for a peaceful stay at excellent price.

Great location-walking distance to most sights/attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Although we were not traveling with our dog, we did see other dogs at the hotel- seemed to be pet friendly. Large (and tasty) breakfast each morning. Our room had a beautiful view of the castle.
Some noise from the street below.
